Tools that press and tap, nothing goes in
A tools-only visit follows the same path as a needle visit, with the same pulse, the same palpation and the same plan. The difference is the tool: a rounded wooden or metal tip that presses, taps or strokes the skin and never goes in. It is a complete visit, and many people choose it more than once.

What to expect
Who usually comes
People who are nervous about needles, parents who want to see a visit before booking one for a child, and anyone who wants to start slowly.
A visit, in order
About 60 minutes the first time and 40 after.
We talk and feel your pulse
You hold and look at each tool
We press, tap or stroke along the same points
You rest, then we talk it over
What you may feel afterward
A light tingle or warmth where we worked, and often a quiet, tired feeling. Some people feel nothing in particular. Drink water and take the afternoon easy.
Tell us first
Tell us if you are or might be pregnant, take blood thinners, have a bleeding disorder or an implant, or have a skin condition where we would be pressing.
Pregnancy
Blood thinners or a bleeding disorder
An implant or device
Sore or broken skin
How many visits
Many people book two or three tools-only visits, then decide whether to add a needle. There is no right number, and you can stay with tools only.
What it does not do
This does not replace your doctor or your medicines. Never stop or change a medicine on your own; talk to the person who prescribed it. Call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, or the worst headache of your life.
