About

A small practice, built around a gentle approach

Brook is two acupuncturists in one quiet room. We practice Japanese-style acupuncture: fine needles, shallow insertion, a lot of touch, and tools that press or tap without going in.

We built it for people who have wanted to try acupuncture and put it off because of the needles. You set the pace. Nothing is inserted unless you say yes, and a visit with tools only is a full visit.

How we work

  • One acupuncturist per visit

  • Sixty minutes for a first visit

  • Tools only, if you prefer

Who you will see

Maricela and Ali

You see one acupuncturist per visit. Ask for the same one again, or for the other.

  • Maricela Gaona, an acupuncturist with short gray hair in a dark linen top, feeling a patient's pulse at the wrist.

    Acupuncturist and owner

    • Certified Acupuncturist · WI Lic. 000000

Maricela opened Brook to make acupuncture easy to try. She starts each visit with the pulse and the belly, and she is known for talking a nervous person through every step.

  • Ali Ghazal, an acupuncturist with gray hair and a beard in a white coat, feeling a patient's pulse at the wrist.

Ali works slowly and explains as he goes. He likes to begin with the rounded tools and move to a needle only when you are ready.
